Naturally a high-impact individual and trusted team player, Nate brings his successful track record to KLV Capital as an Operating Partner. Beyond his Major League Baseball career and Olympian status, Nate has developed his expertise in owner-builder contracting, project management, vacation rentals, mortgage & construction lending, and investing in businesses. Playing professional baseball for 14 years instilled real leadership and essential teamwork skills in Nate. His career spanned eight MLB seasons with the San Francisco Giants, Chicago Cubs, Washington Nationals, and Philadelphia Phillies as well as a season in Japan. Nate’s career highlights include earning a World Series Ring from the Giants’ 2010 and 2012 World Series Championship teams – and winning a bronze medal for Team USA in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. The skills and wide network Nate acquired on the baseball field translate seamlessly to his business investments. In addition to holding an Arizona real estate license, he has assembled a portfolio of short-term, long-term, and vacation rental properties in both the commercial and residential sectors. Among Nate’s activities have been purchasing, as well as managing the remodels and furnishings of vacation rental homes in Scottsdale. With two partners, he founded MissionVest, a mortgage company, in 2015. Together, the team created instant equity via purchase discounts in their defined real estate market. Additionally, he’s been a partner in a land development project of 1,200 acres in Hawaii. Calling a desert oasis home, Nate lives in the Phoenix area with his wife, his daughter, and his son. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family as well as staying active in the gym, hiking, mountain biking, traveling and being an active car enthusiast.
